In 2014, in Michigan alone, the marriage rate was over 50,000. So it's easy to understand that here at Party Grandeur, we are constantly booking up dates rather quickly. As disappointing as this may be, we are still completely committed to helping you find a high quality photo booth for your celebration. A question our guests commonly ask at this point is; Are there any tips you can give on my search for a photo booth rental? And the answer is yes. Just by asking a few 'right' key questions, you can save yourself some headache.
1. What kind of camera does the photo booth company use? The answer here should be nothing other than DSLR, which would be a Cannon or Nikon type camera. This will provide you with portrait studio quality photos. Otherwise, you're looking at someone with a cheap web cam that takes pixelated images.
2. How long does it take for the photo booth to print the pictures? It should only be 12 seconds or less if you are talking to a legit company with the most up to date technology. This is a trick question because in this industry we only use dye-sub printers, which are very different than your home office ink-jet printers.
3. What is the total cost for a photo booth rental? Sometimes there are hidden fees, in mileage, set-up, ad-ons, tax, and countless others. Save yourself the unexpected surprise and ask for a contract or invoice before giving someone your credit card number over the phone.
4. What does the photo booth look like? Make sure to navigate their website thoroughly. If there are no pictures up of a photo booth, or there is but it looks like an old wooden box stacked in front of grandmas crushed velvet curtains, maybe its not the best option.
Avoid the disappointment of getting the 'start up guy' who threw something together in his garage and called it a photo booth, just to make a quick buck! Asking these simple questions will help with the gray areas and make your decision making process much easier. Happy Shopping!
